It is with great sadness that we let you know that Johnny A. Jacobsen, DVM, MSc, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021.

For many years Johnny was the face of Argenta in the US. He led Argenta's Clinical Services organization from 2009 to 2017, building the business and recruiting many of the people who still work there today. From 2017 to 2020, Johnny was responsible for the Business Development and Customer Relationship functions. In these roles, he helped building a more cohesive and integrated view of our company and truly connected the Molecule to Market mission of Argenta.

Johnny's business network and relationships were legendary, and his knowledge and insight into the animal health industry have been of incredible value to Argenta.

Johnny graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, SK, Canada in 1979 and obtained a Master of Science degree in Applied Parasitology from the University of Calgary, AB, Canada in 1994. After 10 years in private practice in Canada, he made the switch to the pharmaceutical industry before joining Argenta in 2009. Johnny retired in April 2020 to be able to spend more time with his wife Kim.

Johnny was an exceptional leader - but more than that - he was an exceptional human. On behalf of the entire Argenta team, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Johnny's wife Kim, and children Joelle, Kristi, Ryan, and Jaime.
