London, United Kingdom, 29 January 2024 – Argenta today announced that Nick Page will join the company as its new Global Head of Manufacturing, effective immediately. To ensure a smooth transition, Nick will work closely with Steve Sibson over the course of the next several weeks.

Prior to joining Argenta, Nick was the Chief Operations Officer at Oxford Biomedica, a CDMO specialising in developing and manufacturing viral vector-based pharmaceutical products. In his role, Nick was responsible for all operational activities across four sites in Europe, was a Director of their US entity, and played a leading role in the record-time production of one of the key COVID-19 vaccines during the pandemic.

Before Oxford Biomedica, Nick was a Platform Head at Novartis for their anti-infective range of products, where he managed eight sites covering API, intermediates, and finished dosage forms for end-to-end antibiotic manufacture.

Earlier in his career, he worked in roles of increasing levels of responsibility with Hospira, Catalent Pharma Solutions and GE Healthcare, including multi-site global manufacturing roles and international assignments in China and India.

Importantly for his new role, Nick has over 40 years of manufacturing experience across various platforms, including sterile fill-finish, biologics, and small molecules. He prides himself in delivering high operational excellence standards, continuous improvement, and always ensuring a quality culture. He is a strong proponent of Lean Six Sigma principles and will bring a mindset of productivity management and growth to Argenta.
