We are excited to share that Argenta has won the 2021 AnimalHealth 'Best Services Company' Award from IHS Markit for the 2nd year in a row.Klaus Hellmann, CEO of Klifovet, was awarded the ‘Visionary CEO’ title, celebrating his incredible career of many years, his amount of knowledge of the industry and especially the regulatory space, and for representing the animal health industry across the world.
The judging panel acknowledged the transformation that is going on in the CRO and CDMO space and said that, "Argenta stands out above the rest as a global player that takes the lead in reshaping the animal health services sector”.
Argenta expanded the footprint of their Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs services in 2021 with the acquisition of Klifovet, the leading European Contract Research Organization (CRO) in animal health, making Argenta a true global player in the CRO as well as the Contract Development and Manufacturing(CDMO) space.
“I am very proud to see that the hard work and dedication of our entire global Argenta team has led to winning the Best Services Company award for the third time in four years. I am speaking on behalf of the entire Argenta team when I say that we could not have accomplished this without our partners and customers. I want to thank them for their trust and their collaboration in the many projects that we are working on.
Argenta is also fortunate to have Klaus Hellmann as a valued member of our Senior Leadership Team. His knowhow and network are instrumental in our ongoing efforts to provide value added services to the animal health industry. Visionary CEOs assemble great teams and we are excited to call these team members our colleagues,” said Ben Russell, CEO of Argenta.
In addition to acquiring Klifovet, Argenta made several significant capital investments in its manufacturing facilities in New Zealand, the UK, and the US to anticipate customer needs. These initiatives are all part of Argenta’s growth strategy, which was accelerated by the investment of KKR.
Argenta’s drive to advance animal health and to partner with stakeholders, also resulted in the establishment of a $30m product development partnership with NovaQuest to develop several innovative veterinary pharmaceuticals, to be sold to commercialization partners for subsequent sales and distribution.
The ‘Best Services Company’ award was presented as a tribute to Johnny Jacobsen, who passed away in September 2021. Johnny was the face of Argenta in the US for many years and his business network and relationships were legendary. His knowledge of and insight into the animal health industry were of incredible value and contributed to where Argenta is today.
